A survival guide to an unknown world.
It is a sad March morning and it rains horizontally over the grey streets. Like all other winters, it was months ago since I last saw the sun. Where I live, we don’t have any environmentally hazardous fog, but still a constant winter haze that makes us psychologically unstable. The computer burns in my lap, my too many cups of coffee have made my lips dry and I keep googling everything from future economic systems to why politics is strange, from why we know so little about trees to how cells can be morphed. Somewhere, I realise I know as little about this world as any other world. Like Mars for example.
“Somewhere I realise I know as little about this world as any other world.”
So this is my pragmatic version of a guidebook where I share more or less confusing texts from my perspective. How do I pack for a travel to Mars? What will make the planet happy? Do I have to enjoy cooking? Is it a good idea to have kids? Is someone else's perspective more real? Will I look back at my life and be proud? Can I write to keep you entertained?
I have no idea about the answers to any of the above. But if there is one thing I know, just one tiny thing, it is that we are social beings with a great belonging. The layout is simple; I do a lot of research and share what I come up with. However, sometimes I will just write fiction. That's how it is. It will probably be a wild mix of high and low, smart and dumb, systems and complexity, life and death. The hope is, that we both get a clearer overview of where we are heading. And of how to live happily on Mars. Just in case we decide to go. But I probably won't. (See more about why here)
